Young adolescence can be a trying time as students try to discover their place in the world. The Middle School strives to create a sense of community. Students need to feel connected, competent, and in control of their lives. An advisory system and a specialized homeroom curriculum are vehicles to explicitly teach students how to work together, set goals, and build self-esteem and confidence, values which are reinforced throughout the school day.
